Ty's Birthday

This year Tyson turned 5 years old. The day before we had Grandma and Grandpa Folkman, Dominique and Scout over for dinner and cake and ice cream. The next day we headed to Lagoon with Renalds sister and cousins. Tyson couldn't have asked for a better birthday. (It just happened to work out that everyone could make it on that day)! Austin didn't want to go on wicked, but he did insist on doing the big swing thing that you lay in and it lifts you up and drops you! He is so crazy! All the kids enjoyed being able to ride all the rides with their cousins!

Baseball

This year Austin and Tyson both played baseball. Austin improved quite a bit, we spent almost every day practing in the backyard, and by the end of the season it had paid off. Tyson began his season with a broken leg, it wasn't until the last 2 games that he could run with his boot on. He ran so slow he was out both times but at least he was able to participate more. Because he hadn't been able to run, when he hit the ball, his first instinct was to run after his own ball to catch it. It was very funny to watch. Renald had to be on the sidelines coaching him to run to first. He also really enjoyed trying to catch the ball when he was in the outfield.

Weston's first bath

I took Weston to his 2 wk doctor appointment and his cord was hanging on so the doctor twisted it off ( I am guessing that is what he did, I didn't want to watch)! When we got home, I gave him his first bath and he seemed to enjoy it.

Weston's baby blessing

Sunday June 7th was Weston's blessing day. Renald did such a wonderful job, I am so proud of him. We had family up afterwards for a dinner and have a fun time.

Welcome baby Weston!!

Okay, I finally had my baby. I was due on May 10th and I had him Thursday May 21st. Whew!! Weston was 8lbs 3oz and was 20 inches long. I went to the hospital Wednesday at 7:45p.m. to be started and had him Thursday at 4:24p.m. Long labor but worth it!! All the kids are really enjoying their new brother. I came home Saturday afternoon with a bellirubin bed for him. Its my first baby that has to be on lights and it's not very fun. We all just want to hold him all the time. Hopefully he won't be on long, he was just over the line for being high. Thanks mom for helping out with the kids, and thanks Renald for keeping the house clean for me!!

Austin's last recital

Wednesday was Austin's last piano recital. He played a song with Ben and Andrea Seeley. (Thanks Andrea for all the practicing at your house). He did a really good job! We really enjoy listening to him play.

Austin's new job

For Mother's Day, Austin's gift to me was to mow the lawn, so I let him at it. He mowed the whole back yard and enjoyed it. At the end he was sweaty and tired but thought it was pretty cool! Since then he has mowed two more times. He is an awesome help!!
