1st vacation without kids

Renald and I went on a cruise from November 16th to the 21st. Our boat went to Ensinada and Cabo. My sister Melanie stayed at my house and watched Austin, Tyson and Sydney. Weston went to my neighbors, Cindy Perkes. I felt so bad for the babysitters, but I totally felt good about who I left my kids with. The cruise was a wonderful escape! In the beginning I thought I was going to be bored on a boat for 5 days, but I soon realized that on crusing days, being lazy, laying in bed with my hubby, watching the waves, eating whenever is so relaxing. I am so used to being busy all day, that when I do something for myself, I can't help but feel guilty, but not once did I feel that on the cruise. My favorite parts were sitting on the balcony, and swimming in the ocean. The bad part is when you get back and you are in your car, listening to kids fight, baby screaming and you are running late to your appointments, I long to get away again. It was just too good. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids, I wouldn't trade anything in the world for them but a little break once every 10 years is nice.

Sum up of Fall

Since I am so slow I will just do a sum up of our Fall. The kids all decorated their pumpkins and went trick or treating with friends. I only have pictures of Weston in his Halloween outfit cause Renald accidently deleted the rest grrrr. Austin was Cobra, Tyson was a skeleton and Sydney was a butterfly.

We celebrated Thanksgiving early this year. We did it on the Sunday before since my sister was in town. Then on Thanksgiving day, I did a little dinner at my house for my parents. I physically cooked the turkey, but Renald was working so he talked me through it step by step. It was fun using my china from my wedding for the 1st time! Austin was such a good help. I called him my sou chef ( I have no idea how to spell it).

Camping

This weekend we went camping with friends up Hardware Ranch. The weather was perfect and the kids had so much fun. Renald cooked great food, we shot some bbguns and rifles, carved pumpkins and the kids rode and rode their machines all day. Sydney starting riding as well and she did super. Check out Austins air!!

Red ribbon run

Austin came home from school last week wanting to participate in the red ribbon run. I was excited that he wanted to participate so I told him I would do the 5k. Austin did the mile run. I was so sad I couldn't sit on the sidelines and cheer him on but our plan was that Renald and the kids would park halfway and do the cheering. The 5k went first and as I ran past Ren and the kids he realized the camera wasn't working and then he never was able to find Austin in the crowd. Austin finished before me and waited for me at the end. It was a fun experience for both and Austin is ready for the next race!

Weston rolls over

On August 28th, I had put Weston down on the floor to fold some cloths and I looked over and he had rolled over. I was so excited that he had finally done it, but he didn't do it again until just recently. The last two days he's been rolling over non stop. He is growing up so fast.

Jason and Emily's wedding

August 21st was Jason and Emily's wedding. We went to Richfield thursday night and woke up early Friday morning for the wedding in the Manti temple. It was a wonderful ceramony. We attended the luncheon and reception afterwords. It turned out to be a beautiful day.

First Day of School

August 20th was Austin's first day of school. He is in 3rd Grade and now goes to Greenville. Tyson started a week later. Tyson is in Kindergarten. They both ride the bus together, which is the highlight of Tyson's day!!
